What was improved in the IntelliSense.io Products?

The 'brains.app' Platform

  • Alerts Two-Stage Indicator Widget: In this new version, the alerts two-stage indicator widget introduces a third state - called “No data”. This was introduced to indicate when the widget is incapable of showing ON/OFF states. Users can now understand faster when something is wrong with the data source - instead of getting an "OFF" state - and go straight to the source to solve the problem.

  • Report Generation: With the latest update to brains.app, users can now have the ability to generate extended auto-generated reports. The daily report time span has been extended from 24 hours to 48 hours. This enhancement allows for a more comprehensive view of data and insights, empowering users with even greater flexibility and analytical capabilities.

  • Log Report: The latest version of our system now allows users to view changes made to any metric, either through manual interaction or batch. These changes include creating, editing, and deleting a metric. This feature allows users to gain more transparency on who made changes to a metric, which can help them make better decisions or seek clarification should they have any concerns about specific metric changes.

  • Chart Widgets - Flexible Scale and Range Setup: The chart widgets have been enhanced for greater flexibility in scaling and range utilization. This empowers users to configure chart widgets using personalized limit ranges, going beyond the typical red-amber-green-amber-red scheme to include broader combinations like amber-green or red-green. This functionality is easily accessible through limit configuration in the asset-metric administration.

Stockpile and Inventory Optimization (SIO) Application

  • In-App Stockpile Initialization: Users can now navigate to the stockpile Admin page to initiate the stockpile creation process. Here they can successfully enter basic information, upload the necessary files (boundaries and FMS labels), and review these details.
This feature enhances user experience by granting them more control and autonomy, enabling them to manage their workflows better. It speeds up processes by reducing reliance on developers and allows users to generate crucial blockmodel files independently, improving operational efficiency.

  • Material Accounting Section: In the latest release, the SIO App introduces an enhanced Material Accounting section, providing a user-friendly solution for monitoring material flows, quantities, and qualities in historical and real-time contexts. This improved section is designed to enhance user experience and simplify configuration, now offering three screens for efficient data management: material inventory, mass control, and crusher feed.

  • Data Quality Alerts and Email Notifications: This new addition aims to maintain the highest standards of data quality by conducting checks during the scheduled raw data ingestion process. If any data ingestion exceeds the defined threshold, the system will automatically trigger an email notification to the designated end user subscribed to the notification service of the SIO App. This email will contain detailed information about the issue as well as a link to the data quality page, helping users maintain impeccable data quality standards.

  • In-App Configuration of Stockpile Boundaries: This new feature allows sites to update asset boundaries within the app, reducing reliance on backend configuration and improving scalability. This is particularly relevant for material accounting (such as dumps, reclaims, and content) that are based on GPS coordinates falling within asset boundaries.

  • Block Models Section: In this latest release, a specialized block model section page has been crafted to allocate and download 3D block model files. Users can explore the 'Latest Blockmodels' tab for near real-time analysis and decision-making with current data. The 'All Blockmodels' tab is particularly beneficial for users requiring long-term trend analysis, historical comparisons, and retrospective evaluations.

  • Stockpile Block Models Using Scan Management: Effectively managing your stockpile block models is crucial for maintaining an accurate representation of your inventory. The process of conformation involves adjusting the volumetric, spatial, and geometric attributes of the block models to match the data from scan survey files. Our Scan Management feature simplifies this task, offering users two convenient options for conforming stockpile blockmodels: manual and automated uploads via data lake integration.

  • Block Model New Conformation Methods: The new Hybrid GPS-Scan Driven Model conformation approach is designed to overcome the challenges of managing stockpiles at sites where GPS data for dumps and reclaims is either incomplete or entirely absent. In these situations, traditional conformation methods that are heavily reliant on GPS events may not be suitable. Instead, this approach utilizes regular scan surveys and daily material movement totals to meticulously update and refine stockpile models, providing invaluable and up-to-date information.

Another developed method, Subregion Redistribution of Batches (SRB), is a feature that allows for separate and controlled model conformation of material within different subregions of the stockpile model, addressing issues related to material movement between subregions and offering flexibility in managing subregion-specific density scales.

  • Dozing Model - Subregion Constraint for Dozing Movements: This functionality aims to refine the existing dozer model within the system, ensuring precise material allocation in stockpiles based on dozer actions. This initiative centers on integrating subregion constraints into the dozer model, utilizing predefined subregion boundaries. The primary objective is to achieve accurate material distribution while preventing cross-contamination between distinct subregions

Flotation Optimization Application

  • Reagent Optimizer: The most recent updates determine the best reagent dose at which to operate based on feed ore characteristics - live, all the time. Metallurgists can be confident that they are adding their flotation reagents at the right dose, all the time. This will improve the flotation performance (grade & recovery) while preventing the costly overdosing of reagents.

  • Flotation Operator Screen - Current vs. Optimized Performance: The Flotation Optimizer is a key component of the Flotation Application, providing real-time optimization capabilities for Operators and Metallurgists. In this latest version, operators can not only view optimized values in the performance section but also compare them with corresponding current values. This feature allows users to visually assess the potential impact of following or deviating from the recommendations, aiding in the decision-making process to determine the value of adhering to these suggestions.

  • Flotation Optimizer - Recommendations: In this new version, the Flotation Optimizer recommendations section runs on a schedule, providing updated recommended setpoints every 30 minutes according to current feed variables and strategy. This enables more effective planning and a clearer understanding of the flow of information. Operators can enter these recommended values into the relevant SCADA setpoints fields to optimize their flotation circuit.

  • Flotation Optimizer - Operational Limits: Operational limits are supplied by the customer and are represented by the data quality limits. IntelliSense.io has enhanced this feature by adjusting the height of the bar charts based on the operational limits of a specific setpoint (SP) metric. As a result, users have the flexibility to configure the minimum and maximum asset-metric limits for the relevant metric within brains.app.

Learn more about the operational limits setup >

  • Data Quality & RSP Alert - Operator Dashboard: In this new version, the Operators dashboard has been adjusted to include a series of alerts, including performance, data quality, and recommended setpoints (RSP) alerts. This means that whenever a significant difference is detected in at least one flotation cell for a control variable in relation to the recommended value and setpoint, the system will trigger a single alert for the operator to adjust the setpoints. This streamlines the monitoring and maintenance process, ensuring that the operator is promptly notified whenever a relevant discrepancy occurs, facilitating quick and effective decision-making.
