Introduction

Our latest feature in the beta version of stockpile initialization allows you to create and initialize new stockpiles from scratch autonomously. Follow these simple steps to get started:

Step 1: Access Stockpile Initialization

  1. Go to the "Settings" section in the left-hand bar menu.

  2. From the list of options, select "Stockpile Admin."

  3. You will be automatically directed to the stockpile initialization screen.

Step 2: Begin Stockpile Initialization

  1. On the stockpile initialization screen, click on the "Initialize your stockpile" button.

2. A pop-up menu will appear with different options. Choose "New stockpile (from base scan)."

Step 3: Add Basic Info

  1. The first step requires you to enter the name of the stockpile you wish to create.

  2. Provide the start date, which indicates when the stockpile is projected to start collecting material.

  3. Click "SAVE" to proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Upload Boundaries File

  1. Prepare your boundaries file in .txt extension (encoded in UTF-8). The file should have a header with "X" and "Y" separated by a space, followed by the corresponding coordinates (see example below)

Warning: Please, ensure that the coordinates enclose the whole stockpile area following either clockwise or counterclockwise direction, without any intersections.

2. Upload the file and “SAVE” to move to the next step.

Step 5: Upload FMS Labels File

  1. Upload the FMS labels file in .txt extension (encoded in UTF-8). The file should contain a list of labels, with one label per line in a unique column (see example below)

2. Upload the file and click on "SAVE" and then "FINISH" to complete the initialization process.

Step 6: Review and Confirm

  1. A window will pop up displaying the information you provided. Review the details carefully.

  2. If needed, you can click "Edit" on any of the steps to make necessary changes.

  3. Once you are satisfied with the information, click "Initialize" on the pop-up window to initiate the stockpile creation process.

Step 7: View Stockpile Initialization Status

  1. You will be redirected to the main stockpile initialization page, where you can view the status of the process.

  2. The status should show as "Active" if all the steps have been successfully completed.

Step 8: Deleting a Stockpile (Optional)

If you need to delete a stockpile that has been created, follow these steps:

  1. Go on the main stockpile initialization page.

  2. find the stockpile you wish to delete.

  3. Click on the "Delete" option associated with that stockpile.

Step 9. Blockmodel Generation

After successfully completing the stockpile initialization process, the system will automatically generate the stockpile blockmodel file within the Blockmodel section during the scheduled data ingestion process. Additionally, the metrics associated with the new stockpile will become visible on various screens.
This process will occur as soon as the necessary data becomes available for the newly initialized stockpile, to ensure you have access to the most up-to-date and accurate information for your stockpile management.

Note:

Please be aware that you may encounter some bugs or inconsistencies, since it is a beta version of the feature. We're actively seeking your feedback to identify and address these issues and improve the overall user experience.
