New Features/Enhancements - What's Improved?

brains.app Real-Time AI Platform

brains.app serves as our central platform and we are constantly improving its environment to provide a greater user experience. Here are the latest updates on brains.app:

  • Metrics Conversion - Imperial Units to Metric Units

In our most recent release, our team introduced a new conversation metric structure for customers, tailored to their specific system requirements. While our system primarily processes data in imperial units, we understand that some clients may also need to report in metric units, such as tonnes, ounces/grams property calculations.

This new conversation of metrics (by case) offers clients flexibility and convenience in reporting their data. By accommodating both imperial and metric units, we ensure that clients can easily communicate their information in the format that best suits their needs and preferences. This helps streamline the reporting process, enhances accuracy, and improves overall efficiency for our clients.

If this is your case, please ensure you ask the Mining Technology team (through the Intercom channel) how to implement metric conversions for your site.

Flotation Optimization App

IntelliSense.io Flotation App exposes how individual flotation cells & columns perform in response to changing feed properties and other process changes, allowing proactive actions to keep the circuit stable and increase recovery. Here are the latest updates:

  • Optimizer Usage Tracking

In the most recent release, we have enhanced the user tracking metrics of the flotation Optimizer. The user tracking is calculated per line/bank of Flotation cells on a site's flotation circuit based on:

    1. Usage Error: This is defined as |(RSP-PV)/PV|, where RSP is the recommended setpoint and PV is the measured value of the corresponding Control Variable. The average of these is returned for a bank of cells.

    2. Usage Status: This is a binary metric returning 1 if the Usage Error is below a configured threshold, and 0 if not. This threshold can either be a constant value or the value of a metric.

These metrics can be trended in a Dashboard or added to a summary table to report on the utilization of the Flotation Optimizer over the selected period. This ensures better process engineering visibility & commissioning tracking.

Bugs - What's Fixed?

In our continued effort to make brains.app the most reliable platform, we focused extra on eliminating key bugs. Here are some of the top fixes:

brains.app Admin

  • Page links now redirect correctly from the home screen.

  • Users will now receive a validation error when attempting to create assets with only spaces.

  • The 'Project' page no longer requires a refresh when a project is archived.

Stockpile and Inventory Optimization App

  • Users now receive a summary of metrics, even in the presence of a data gap.

  • The properties' names in the Material Inventory screen are now saving correctly.

  • Stockpile selection on the Crusher Feed page functions properly when changing dates.

Thickener Optimization App

  • Duplications of metric names in the performance graph screen have been resolved.
