The Kyanite '23 Major Release note includes significant upgrades in the last 6 months to the “out of the box” Optimisation as a Service (OaaS) Applications.

What was Improved in the IntelliSense.io Products?
Stockpile and Inventory Optimization
Data QA Section: Non-FMS data inclusion: Some mines do not track the whole set of hauling equipment with the FMS (Fleet Management System), instead, they hire third-party companies that provide the hauling service. IntelliSense.io Stockpile and Inventory App now can incorporate the "contractor's data" into the raw files that feed brains.app which allows accounting FMS/Non-FMS data, providing a full picture of the material movements on site (dumps/reclaims). This new section accounts for what is merely related to dumps by exposing the following data QA metrics.

Blockmodel Data Enhancements:
% of the contribution of categorical variables is added per block, showing the percentage of the one that contributes the most to the total content of each block. For example, now metallurgists and geologists can estimate the performance of the crusher and milling circuit, therefore the throughput, based on material types and rock types related to the plant feed.
% of GPS coordinates filled by the Smart GPS filling are added per block, which enables Geologists to have a view of the quality of the spatial data used as input to allocate each particular block and evaluate the level of uncertainty of a particular area when planning to reclaim.% of the contribution of categorical variables is added per block, showing the percentage of the one that contributes the most to the total content of each block. Flotation Optimization
Flotation App: now available in Brazilian Portuguese language. Meeting one of our client's requirements, the brains.app Platform as well as the Flotation Optimization Application were all translated into Portuguese. This ensured a better process implementation within the site coordinators, increased operator acceptance, and facilitated the change management process within the mining company regarding the insertion of new artificial intelligence technologies.
Flotation Optimizer v2: The Flotation Optimizer is used by both the Metallurgist & Operator, and gives quantitative guidance on Air Level Setpoints to operators on how to optimize their Flotation value driver (normally, to improve Metal Recovery at Spec Grade), generating optimum setpoints every 30 minutes.

Jameson Cell Model v2: in order to give operations teams a faster & more granular Flotation separation performance feedback, the Modelling of Flotation Jameson Cells was performed from having the hydrodynamic virtual sensors to validating the Kinetic Model outputs. The acceptance criteria for the ‘Hydrodynamic Virtual Sensor’ and ‘Kinetic Model’ for Jameson Cells were added to the production environment.
Clickable Hyperlinks on Two-state Indicators 2.0A: When a two-stage indicator widget indicates that something is wrong (e.g. alert = orange), the user can click on the alert and be redirected to a different Dashboard, where he can find out more about what went wrong, streamlining the root-cause analysis/ review and decision-making process.
Solvent Extraction Optimization Application
Mixer O:A Ratio Virtual Sensors (VS) Estimator: The Solvent Extraction (SX) Mixer Organic/Aqueous (O/A) ratio estimator provides real-time estimates of the O/A volume ratio in the mixing units. It uses values of various readings, such as mixer motor current drawn, loaded organic pump current drawn, pregnant leach solution flowrate (PLS) - inline sensor, and spent electrolyte flow rate - inline sensor from which it estimates the O/A ratios in the associated SX mixer stage.

Phase Continuity Monitoring and Predictions/Alerts: The solvent Extraction (SX) phase flip detector emits a warning when the phase continuity in a mixer unit changes.

brains.app Platform
The New Library: comprehends the new metrics, units, icons, and quantities that can be configured. These are key components of the brains.app platform in order to better administrate your components, allowing you to expose data from various data sources and use this data in dashboards and reports.
Batch Metric Update: In this new version, users can batch-update metrics using the radio buttons for CREATE, UPDATE, UNLINK, and DELETE on the existing Bulk Add Metrics screen. This provides an easy-to-use feature for users in dashboard development.
Fixes: In addition to those, over 70 requests and fixes have been completed to improve the existing functionality of the platform and increase its robustness.
