New Features - What's New?

brains.app Real-Time AI Platform

brains.app serves as our central platform and we are constantly improving its environment to provide a greater user experience. Here are the latest updates on brains.app:

  • Brains.app Next - New Interface and Version Upgrade

The brains.app platform has undergone an update, bringing several improvements. These include a visually refreshed user interface, faster page loading times (averaging 4x faster), enhanced data visualization on dashboards, and improved functionality for selecting and streamlining time periods.

This change will be applied to all our suite of products, comprising: Stockpile & Inventory, Grinding, Flotation, Leaching, Thickeners, and Solvent Extraction Optimization Apps.

In the upcoming month, you'll have the opportunity to access the beta version of the new platform, allowing you to switch between versions as desired.

  • New Generation of Dashboards - Fresh Look and Configurations

The latest dashboards empower users to effortlessly configure asset metric tables and time-series dashboards, facilitating various visualizations such as histograms and statistics. With the powerful custom data source, the IntelliSense.io data provider, sophisticated tables can be configured quickly and with minimal effort.

These dashboards offer a wide range of visualization options, including asset metrics tables, time series analyses, histograms, and various other graphical representations. Powered by our proprietary Intellisense data provider tool, they enable users to easily organize assets and metrics, providing a customized and insightful overview of the data.

Flotation Optimization App

IntelliSense.io Flotation App exposes how individual flotation cells & columns perform in response to changing feed properties and other process changes, allowing proactive actions to keep the circuit stable and increase recovery. Here are the latest updates:

  • Optimizer Screen Upgrade -Timer Synchronized with Optimizers

In this new addition, each optimizer model under the control recommendations timestamp should output an additional metric storing a timestamp indicating when the recommendations were last updated. This "last updated" column will be clearly displayed for operators, allowing them to ensure they are accessing the most recent values. Consequently, operators can rely on the timer and react to recommendations only when the timer is updated.

Figure 3: By clicking on the "(i)" info icon, operators can have a clear view of the last recommended values and time updated.

  • Flotation Optimizer Configurations (OptiConfig) - Strategy

As part of our strategic changes, we have renamed the button "Set strategy" to "Show strategy" in the Flotation Optimizer screen. Now, when users click on this button, they will be presented with a view of the full optimizer configurations: the current active scenario, the last edit time, and the editor's information.

In this new addition, users are restricted from editing limits and rewards directly from the screen, as these are for viewing purposes only. However, if a user has 'admin' user type privileges, they will see a "configure" button next to the strategy name, allowing them to access the corresponding 'OptiConfig' screen page to edit scenario values (see figure below).

Therefore, only designated admin metallurgists will have the authority to set optimizer reward values/weights in the OptiConfig screen, assuming responsibility for the optimizer's strategy. This ensures that the strategy is defined by authorized personnel, rather than relying on manual configuration processes or the operator's role.

Bugs - What's Fixed?

In our continued effort to make brains.app the most reliable platform, we focused extra on eliminating key bugs. Here are some of the top fixes:

brains.app Admin

  • The request for setting up the Superadmin is functioning correctly.

  • The Grafana Dashboard PDF report is being exported correctly and received by email.

  • The optimization admin screen is working as expected

Flotation Optimization App

  • The decimal places for input fields/default are correctly configured on the simulator screen.

  • Labels for Concentrate grade, Mass pull, and Recovery are correctly displayed under the Optimizer screen.

  • The performance screen is loading without any issues, and graphs and tables are populated correctly.

Stockpile and Inventory Optimization App

  • All the selected parameters are displayed correctly when we hover over the 2D Map.

  • Brains.app Next: The block model is downloaded successfully as a CSV file.

  • The scan alert now only appears once after users close it, and it does not reappear when changing screens.

Thickener Optimization App

  • Data is loading as expected in the 'Thickener Performance' screen.

  • Users can now enter values in the simulated column for all metrics.
